Description/Job Summary

The Building People, LLC, has an opening for an Energy Project Management Analyst(Senior Project Manager) on a task with the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). The Ideal candidate should have extensive working knowledge of the concepts for evaluating, implementing, maintaining and enhancing programmatic support and control systems, and functional organizations. This position will be supporting the Hydrogen team within the Fuel Cells Technology Program Office in EERE.

This position’s responsibilities include:

  • Provide briefing and presentation support to the Director, Deputy Director, and senior staff (as assigned) during Congressional and national industry organization briefing preparations.
  • Develop presentations of topical, complex, or technical information in a logical, understandable and persuasive manner for the Hydrogen team
  • Provide integrated technical, data, communications, and other assistance as well as develop background information, situation analyses, and impact assessments, including but not limited to: maintaining an ongoing library of project fact sheets; developing web-based fact sheets; providing meeting planning, coordination and facilitation support; coordinating meeting and travel calendars; providing technical, economic, environmental and policy analysis of issues; assisting with strategic planning activities, including multiyear planning meetings, editing and review of documents, war room planning, and development of background information.
  • In support of the FCTO Annual Merit Review: Developing project spreadsheets; Identifying reviewers and working with team to assign project reviews for the Hydrogen team; Making assignments and reviewing conflicts ; Also, manage international side meetings in the evening or during lunch (including: invite participants, draft agenda, draft U.S. presentation, ensure room proper AV equipment, etc.)
  • Conduct analyses on subject matter as assigned to identify additional information
  • Provide a broad spectrum of planning, budgeting, performance management, reporting, communications, tools, and business management services and support for the Hydrogen team.
  • Conduct and support business- and financial management-related analyses and communications activities (i.e., dashboard, topical and presentations).
  • Identify problems and opportunities and bring ideas to the table for innovation and efficient management in the assigned tasks.
  • Develop program management and integration tools to facilitate interoffice communications and portfolio management.

Required Skills

SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, project-related budget, and written communications.

Required Experience

Minimum experience of eight (8) years of relevant and directly related experience.

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Programs.

Required Education

B.S. or B.A. in a related discipline such as energy, engineering, or science discipline.

Preferred Education

Master’s degree
