The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time BIM Specialistsupporting a technology solutions deliverable located at two locations, DC & PA.
Responsibilities/Duties
Experience troubleshooting BIM problems at both content and model levels.
Experience providing comprehensive BIM development/drafting support for BIM Models.
Experience using Bentley Navigator to perform clash detection, animations, etc.
Experience extracting material quantity take-off’s directly from BIM models for cost estimating and grouping different building assemblies.
Experience establishing BIM Workspaces including the Dataset Workspace, Templates, and Workflows.
Experience reviewing/auditing BIM deliverables for projects while under development with model developers and project teams.
Experience developing and implementing BIM Operating Procedures and Protocols Manual for projects.
Experience working with Information Technology personnel to ensure high-efficiency BIM applications and systems.
Experience installing patches, service packs, and utilities to maintain BIM / CADD profiles.
Experience developing contract language for BIM services, responsibilities, and deliverables for facilities projects with related BIM requirements.
Required Skills
Minimum of 3 years’ experience using Bentley Architecture BIM application and tools. Experience creating or managing the creation of BIM models by employees or 3rd party BIM modeling service providers.
Preferred Skills
Solution delivery expertise can include IWMS, CMMS, CAFM, ITSM, FCA, CAD/BIM, GIS technologies.
Services will include both project delivery-based service delivery, as well as staff augmentation on-site contracted services, support delivery.
Services experience will include various roles for consulting/needs analysis, data assessment/data quality, integration services, implementation services, training and technical & help desk support.
Specialty areas can include CAD & BIM, GIS solutions like Esri, Condition assessment tools like BUILDER SMSTM, mobile technologies, sensor technologies.
Primary work environment and industry will be the Federal Civilian and Federal DoD markets, with remote office, in-office, home-office, and onsite services delivery roles.

Required Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience responsible for contract administration and daily operations of a customer service center.

Preferred Qualifications
Top Secret Clearance
1-2 years minimum experience, inclusive of College/University experience, on up to 5-7 year industry subject matter experts
Technically compliant with MS Office tools, Visio, XLS advanced, Sharepoint
