The Building People has a need for a full-time Realty Support Specialist IIsupporting the US Department of Agriculture Research Service in the Plains Area in Fort Collins, CO. The employee will provide technical support services and perform the following duties and tasks:
The Realty Support Specialist will process a variety of actions including leases; easements; rights-of-ways; revocable permits; land use agreements; depreciation establishment on capitalized assets; inventory management; excess and disposal of assets; Section 106 processing; quarters (federal housing) management; survey and title searches; coordination and entry of annual operation/repair and maintenance reporting for the fiscal year; review of all new construction projects as well as repair and maintenance projects to existing assets within the Area.
Work will include:
Interpreting, cataloging, pulling parcel data, and organizing easements, right-of-ways, and land use agreements;
Assist in processing excess and demolition asset packages;
Assist in organizing and building an electronic file repository for hardcopy Realty files;
Assist in coordinating and processing fiscal year operation/repair and maintenance reporting;
Assist in entry and tracking of real estate documents.
Knowledge and experience required:
Ability to read, interpret, and understand easements, leases, and asset (building, land, structure) files
Understand, manage, and develop easements
Understand engineering packages/drawings for new construction and/or renovation projects to existing facilities/structures
Knowledge in pulling county parcel data and reading deeds to retrieve boundary lines and legal descriptions
Research land records to determine history, ownership, and associated easement/permit actions
Use copier/scanner to transfer hardcopy files into an electronic file repository
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word
Knowledgeable in Adobe Acrobat
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience, plus seven (7) plus years of working in the Realty Area in performing the work activities above.
