Description/Job Summary

The Building People is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee and support various facility condition assessment projects. Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to manage and organize complex projects and teams, with prior experience in facility assessment a plus.

Qualified candidates will have the ability to:

  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues and ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly support the achievement of strategic objectives
  • Maintain full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment to delivery for one or more initiatives simultaneously
  • Performs internal quality control reviews to ensure projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards; analyze issues and troubleshoot problem areas; develops risk mitigation strategies; monitors and tracks resolution of issues and conflicts to ensure critical path deliverables
  • Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders
  • Manage remote teams, including teams operating within different time zones
  • Coordinate, staff, and schedule team member site visits
  • Evaluate team member work quality and progress and maintain standards and timeline as determined by contract requirements

Required Education

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction manager, or related field.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of management experience and leading teams
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Be able to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience conducting facility condition assessments (FCAs)
  • Knowledge of facility condition assessment web-based software applications such as BUILDERâ„¢ SMS
  • Professional Engineer (PE or EIT) or Registered Architect
  • Experience using SharePoint
