Job Title: Data Analyst

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Data Analyst located in Washington, DC.
The Data Analyst will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. The Data Analyst’s responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements. Considerable working knowledge of:
Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques
Ability to create infographics with an understanding of financial and/or program data.
Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Manipulate data and convert in the spreadsheets, graphs, and other medias for easy use and understanding by others
Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Strong communications skills: written and oral, MS Office (Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Excel).
Experience with SharePoint and Advance MS Excel skills required (pivot table, charts, graphic, formulas).
Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Programming language skills like Visual Basic (C++), HTML, and or Python & Anaconda is desired but not required.
Minimum Education: B.S. or B.A. in a related discipline that provides the functional skills to perform the functions and responsibilities, plus eight (8) years of experience.

Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one, preferred but not required. Due to the nature of our business, most positions require U.S. citizenship. Federal Government experience a plus.
